Greetings from Bowden Voice & Speech!

I am so thrilled to finally be writing this message to you. And even more excited that you are reading it.

My name is Mary Bowden and I am the founder and operator of Bowden Voice & Speech. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist in Toronto, ON and a proud East End dweller. With this first blog post I hope to introduce myself and my business to you, whoever you might be. Future posts will discuss current topics in speech-language therapy and related disciplines, research findings, new tools or approaches I've encountered and so forth. For now, a little about me.

I received my Master of Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto and am a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). I am a certified member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). My additional training includes Hanen's More Than Words and Talkability, Picture-Exchange Communication System Level 1 (PECs), Introduction to PROMPT, Lessac-Madden Resonant Voice Therapy and, Casper-Stone Confidential Flow Voice to name a few. My areas of therapy service include language, articulation, voice, social communication, professional voice support and parent coaching. When I'm not working as an SLP I am an active participant in community musical theater groups. You can also often find me down at the beach hitting a volleyball (sometimes even in the right direction!).

Bowden Voice & Speech started out in 2016, initiated from a desire to provide modern, personalized speech and language therapy in East Toronto. I have been fortunate since the launch to have connected with some amazing families and professionals and am looking forward to making new connections in the years to come.

Have an idea for collaboration? I would love to hear about it. Have concerns about your child's speech or language? Send me a message. Looking to up your professional presentation game? Let's work together.

Stay tuned for my upcoming musings and posts about therapy groups to come. Until then, take a look at the website and feel free to contact me with any questions, ideas, or just to start a connection. I look forward to meeting you.
